ÉQUIPE LESSARD REMPORTE LES PROVINCIAUX POUR UNE TROISIÈME ANNÉE - TEAM LESSARD WINS THEIR 3RD PROVINCIALS
C'est en trois matchs que les provinciaux se sont disputés les 25 et 26 février au Club de Curling de Magog. Pour une troisième année consécutive, l'Équipe Lessard a défait ses adversaires soit l'Équipe Sylvestre du Club de Curling Victoria de la Ville de Québec, en seulement trois matchs. La dernière partie a été passablement contrôlée par la formation Lessard, ne laissant pratiquement ou peu de chance à l'adversaire de marquer des points. Lessard commençait le match en possession du marteau et se démarquait en marquant 3 points. L'Équipe Sylvestre répliquait avec 2 points au 2ème bout, mais ce furent les derniers points inscrits au tableau, le reste du match ayant été volé catégoriquement jusqu'au 7ème bout par la formation Lessard. Reprenant le marteau, Lessard marquait un point au troisième bout puis y allait avec 4 vols les quatre derniers bouts marquant un point à chaque, mettant fin ainsi au match avec un pointage final de 8-2, l'Équipe Sylvestre ayant décidé de ne pas compléter le 8ème bout.
Team Lessard with hammer started strong with 3 points against the Québec City formation Team Sylvestre. Then on second end, Sylvestre replied with 2 points. With hammer on third Lessard added another point and played well through the end controlling nearly everything, steeling the rest of the game with each ends 1 point. Team Sylvestre decided to end the game after 7 ends, being defeated with a final score of 8-2.
Team Lessard for a third year wins provincials within three games, it will also be for the Quebec formation's Team Lessard a fourth participation to nationals.
