L'ÉQUIPE DU QUÉBEC REMPORTE L'ARGENT

L'équipe du Québec s'est méritée l'argent lors des championnats canadiens qui se sont déroulés du 28 avril au 4 mai dernier.  

  

Les membres de l'équipe sont très fiers de leur performance s'étant mis comme objectif de terminer parmi les 4 premiers lors du tournoi à la ronde (round robin)  et se classer parmi les médaillés.   C'est  un double objectif qui a été atteint, puisque le Québec a terminé premier au tournoi à la ronde avec un cumule de 9 victoires 1 défaite , et en terminant deuxième avec l'argent, les objectifs ont donc été réalisés, ce qui est excellent.

ÉQUIPE  ÉTOILE
Deux joueurs sur la formation québécoise se sont aussi mérités deux titres.  Nommés sur  l'Équipe Étoile qui regroupent les meilleurs joueurs/euses qui se sont démarqués tout au long des championnats,  Johanne Daly a été nommée à titre de meilleure première pour une deuxième année consécutive,  et Sébastien Boisvert nommé meilleur deuxième, mais en plus remporte le titre de meilleur esprit sportif.  

C'est avec une excellente note que la formation du Québec termine la saison et remercie par le fait même ses supporteurs tout au long de la saison.

Premier entraînement hier, beaucoup de curl sur les glaces, on parle entre 4 et 6 pieds de curl facilement 

Ce sera la première équipe qui saura s'habituer le plus rapidement sur cette glace qui aura l'avantage.

I would suggest  Mount Royal, you'll be having a nice view over the city, nights and days Montreal is totally different !

If you want to shop and see the Montreal downtown life, I suggest the Ste-Catherine Street !

For those who will be arriving earlier on, I suggest that if you have a chance to get to Quebec City, it worth the trip.   It is a 2.5hours trip to get there.   You'll be having a nice view over the St-Lawrence River from the Chateau Frontenac. I suggest also that you have at least a meal there.    Getting aboard the funicular just beside the Chateau Frontenac, you'll be getting into the hold city, where you will be able to shop for souvenirs.   For the curling lovers, there is a Christmas shop open all year round where you can find  tree decorations with a curling stone !

EQUIPE LESSARD REMPORTE LE CHAMPIONNAT PROVINCIAL 2014

C'est avec un compte de 8-4 lors du troisième match, que l'Équipe Lessard  a remporté le provincial 2014.   La formation représentera le Québec pour une 6ème année consécutive lors du championnat canadien.  

Les joueurs de Lennoxville ont quand même démontré leur savoir faire.   Pour Lennoxville, il s'agissait d'une première expérience à un championnat provincial, ce qui est excellent.    Ce sera certainement une équipe à surveiller pour le futur.    

Il y a eu également quelques beaux jeux spectaculaires de la part des deux capitaines, soit Lessard et Poulin.   

L'Équipe du Québec sera donc l'hôte du prochain championnat canadien, qui se déroulera du 22 avril au 4 main inclusivement, au Club de Curling de Boucherville.    Le Québec devra défendre son titre de champion 2013.

CHAMPIONAT PROVINCIAL 2014

Bon début de tournoi pour l'Équipe Lessard qui partait le premier match avec une victoire.   Toutefois, grande surprise de voir comment la formation de Lennoxville s'est nettement améliorée.  C'est certainement une équipe qui pourrait donner des résultats surprenant dans un futur très rapproché !

C'est donc avec un compte de 8-4 que la formation Lessard remporte le premier match.

Le deuxième match a donné lieu à de belles performances de part et d'autre.   En effet on a pu voir des jeux fantastiques des deux formations et quoi dire des frappés et roulés qui ont certainement fait lever quelques personnes de leur siège !   

Deux jeux en particulier  des capitaines.   Benoît Lessard y allait avec une sortie montée avec trois pierres à déplacer.   Ou encore un frappé roulé et marquer in extremis !   Tout simplement des coups de télévision !     La capitaine Johanne Poulin y a réussi également un beau frappé roulé, cette pierre frisant a peine une pierre de droite pour rouler et en friser une autre et se glisser juste derrière la pierre qui marquait pour l'Équipe Lessard.    Mais le capitaine Lessard a su répliquer par un lancer tout aussi spectaculaire pour reprendre le point.   De vraies performances télé !    Deuxième victoire de Lessard avec un compte de 10-2.  

Comme il s'agit d'un 3 de 5,  c'est dimanche que se décidera le gagnant du championnat provincial 2014.   Pour l'équipe Poulin, il s'agit d'une première présence à un championnat provincial.   

C'est à suivre .......       

Dimanche soir seront annoncées les derniers resultats, accès internet oblige.    A moins d'un revirement spectaculaire, l'Equipe Lessard devrait remporter le troisième match dimanche matin.  Mais comme on ne peut prévoir l'avenir .......
